Aston Villa Stun West Ham in FA Cup Thriller

Aston Villa secured a thrilling 2-1 victory over West Ham United in the third round of the FA Cup, sending the Hammers crashing out of the competition.  

Lucas Paqueta opened the scoring for West Ham, but goals from Amadou Onana and Morgan Rogers in the second half turned the game on its head, securing Unai Emery's side a place in the fourth round.  

The match was a closely contested affair, with both teams creating chances throughout the game. West Ham started brightly, taking the lead through Paqueta's well-taken goal. However, Villa responded well and were rewarded for their persistence with goals from Onana and Rogers.  

The win will be a significant boost for Aston Villa, who have been in good form in recent weeks. West Ham, on the other hand, will be disappointed to have been knocked out of the FA Cup at the first hurdle.
