However, goalkeeper Robert Sanchez made a costly error just before halftime, dropping a corner that allowed Matt Doherty to equalize for Wolves.

As the home crowd braced for another potential collapse, Cucurella found the net in the 60th minute after Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, making his first league start for Chelsea, flicked on a cross from Madueke.
