Enzo Fernández Faces Grueling Schedule as Chelsea Player and Argentine International

On April 23, the Sun's reporting team published this week's exclusive Chelsea report.
Data compiled by the International Football Players' Union indicates that after the final round of the Premier League on May 25, Argentine player Enzo Fernández will have to take 11 flights between his club and national team.
First, he will embark on a 1,500-mile journey to Wrocław, Poland. Despite a narrow home defeat in the quarter-final second leg on Thursday that nearly eliminated Chelsea, they remain favorites for the Europa Conference League final.
Next, the 24-year-old Fernández will cross the Atlantic to participate in World Cup qualifiers against Chile and Colombia, before rejoining his Chelsea teammates for the opening match of the Club World Cup in Atlanta on June 16.
Meanwhile, the union attempted to persuade FIFA to abandon the expanded tournament featuring 32 teams, citing concerns for player welfare, but their efforts were unsuccessful.
The International Football Players' Union stated:
"Enzo now faces one of the most demanding match schedules of the season, participating in four competitions for club and country between May and mid-July.
Our data shows that he has already played over 50 matches this season, and by July, that number is expected to exceed 70, leaving him with little time to recover.
Then the Premier League season resumes in August, giving him almost no time to rest or retrain.
Without stronger protective measures, such scheduling issues could become the norm."
