PSG Prepare €80m Bid for Real Madrid’s Eduardo Camavinga Amid Injury Setback

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are reportedly set to make a bold €80m move for Real Madrid’s Eduardo Camavinga, according to Fichajes. The 22-year-old French midfielder, who can also play as a left-back, has been a versatile asset for Real Madrid since joining from Rennes in 2021 for €31m. However, his 2024-2025 season was cut short by a groin injury sustained during a 1-0 LaLiga win over Getafe on April 23, ruling him out for the remainder of the campaign, including the Club World Cup in June-July, as confirmed by Real Madrid.
Despite his injury, PSG see Camavinga as a key target to bolster their midfield with young French talent, aligning with their summer 2025 transfer strategy. Camavinga’s contract with Real Madrid runs until 2029, with a €1billion release clause, which could make negotiations tricky. Real Madrid are expected to resist the transfer, valuing his potential despite a recent dip in form and reduced minutes this season. Fan reactions on X are mixed, with some calling him overrated at €80m, while others believe PSG’s midfield could benefit from his dynamic presence if the deal materializes.
