Bayern Munich Prepares Second Bid for AC Milan's Rafael Leão
On June 8, French media outlet Foot Mercato reported on the transfer situation involving Bayern Munich and AC Milan winger Rafael Leão. Bayern is preparing a second offer totaling €75 million (including bonuses), along with the inclusion of a player in the deal. Milan is hoping to see either Leon Goretzka or Kingsley Coman included in the transaction.

As previously reported by Italian media, Bayern had inquired about Leão a few weeks ago, with Milan initially setting his price close to €100 million. Bayern hesitated due to this high asking price but later sought to negotiate a lower figure.

Contrary to reports from German media, Foot Mercato states that Bayern has not given up on pursuing Leão and is becoming increasingly interested. Club executives plan to spend a few more days reaching an agreement with Milan, believing that Leão is not part of the rebuilding plans set by manager Massimiliano Allegri and sporting director Paolo Maldini. Leão's contract with Milan runs until June 2028.

While Bayern is also monitoring other winger options, such as Athletic Bilbao's Nico Williams, their interest in reaching an agreement with Milan over Leão remains high. Earlier this week, Bayern made their first offer, which Milan deemed insufficient and rejected outright.

Bayern is actively preparing their second bid, expected to be submitted to Milan's management next week. This new offer will include a transfer fee of around €75 million (including bonuses) along with an additional player as part of the deal.

Reports suggest that Milan prefers Bayern to include either Goretzka or Coman in the trade, and only if this condition is met will they consider selling Leão. Although there were rumors regarding South Korean international Kim Min-jae potentially being part of the deal, Foot Mercato notes that he is not the most likely player to be included, as he has other aspirations.

Meanwhile, Bayern plans to continue discussions with Leão's agent early this week. The connection between Leão, Bayern, and Milan remains active, and the transfer developments continue to attract considerable attention.
