Manchester United Increases Bid for Brentford's Mbeumo
On June 10, multiple media outlets, including Ben Jacobs and The Daily Mail, updated the situation regarding Manchester United forward Bryan Mbeumo.

Reports indicate that Manchester United has raised their offer for Brentford striker Mbeumo. The initial bid was approximately £55 million, but it was rejected by the Bees.

United is continuing negotiations with Mbeumo, and last weekend, it was reported that Tottenham Hotspur is also interested in the 25-year-old, adding competition for his signature.

Mbeumo is considered a key target for Manchester United this summer as they aim to improve their squad after a disappointing season. The Red Devils scored only 44 goals in the Premier League last season, ranking second-to-last among non-relegated teams.
Since joining Brentford for £5.8 million, Mbeumo has made 242 appearances and scored 70 goals, including 42 goals in 136 Premier League matches—exactly the kind of firepower that United manager Amadri is seeking.

However, they are not the only club interested in Mbeumo. Brentford manager Thomas Frank, who is set to become the new Spurs manager, has strengthened Mbeumo's link to Tottenham. The two have a strong relationship, as Frank signed Mbeumo from Troyes in the French second division in 2019.

Despite this, The Mail understands that Spurs are unlikely to compete for Mbeumo, with sources indicating that such a scenario is "highly unlikely."

Additionally, journalist Ben Jacobs reported that Mbeumo has made it clear he only wants to join Manchester United, and all suitors are aware of this. United is focused on reaching a fee agreement with Brentford.
