Transfer Update: Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid

On May 30, multiple sources reported that Trent Alexander-Arnold will join Real Madrid for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup this summer.
According to journalist Moreshito, Real Madrid and Liverpool are close to reaching an agreement that will allow Alexander-Arnold to participate in the tournament scheduled for June. Marca indicated that negotiations between the two clubs are expected to conclude soon.
Cadena COPE confirmed that an agreement has been reached, and the transaction is in the final stages of paperwork before an official announcement. Additionally, The Times’ Liverpool correspondent, Joyce, noted that Real Madrid is keen to expedite negotiations to secure Alexander-Arnold's services before his contract with Liverpool expires on June 30.
Real Madrid aims to finalize the signing before this date, but Liverpool remains firm about not releasing Alexander-Arnold without a transfer fee. Reports from Spain suggest that the official deal could be completed within 24 hours, with new Real Madrid coach Xabi Alonso hopeful that Alexander-Arnold will make the squad for the Club World Cup.
Previously, during the January transfer window, Liverpool rejected Real Madrid's attempts to sign Alexander-Arnold, focusing instead on their Premier League title challenge. Six months ago, Real Madrid was reportedly willing to pay £20 million for the player.
The Guardian reported that Real Madrid will cover Alexander-Arnold's June salary and additional fees to facilitate his early move, with total costs potentially reaching £10 million.
